I'm always on the lookout for great ways of displaying flowers. Here are some that caught my eye.

Colorful Cottage

4.27.2012

There are just so many things that I love about this house starting with the orange door - Helllo!! Talk about wonderful!  Not to mention the reading nook flanking the stairwell and the bench seating in the kitchen. I also love the bright colored accessories that seem to pop up everywhere and the ghost chairs that keep it simple in the informal dining area.

Big, beautiful, glittering balls!

4.26.2012

I love giant balls (no pun intended). Be it a disco ball, a crystal ball or a metal ball, I love them all!
Here are some examples of how you can hang your balls :)

The Home Office

4.25.2012

My office has been the problem child of my home for a long time now. I get all the papers etc. under control and then I'm right back where I started two weeks later. It seems like I can never quite keep up with my inbox, real or computerized. My husband says it's because I do too many things between the design biz, the Feng Shui biz and my incessant need to create things. This makes for a very busy office space. Recently I decided to convert the big room in our unfinished basement into my studio. It will be a long process but very rewarding in the long run. No pain no gain right?

The top two offices are sources of inspiration for my own Studio. I love mixing zebra, pink, black and yellow and gold together and these are two great examples of how you can do it without it smacking you in the face the moment you see it! Photos via

Love is in the air

4.24.2012

I love this hand-made, needle point "LOVE" wall hanging designed by Paul Smith for The Rug Company. Each one is unique and made with hand spun wool. Shipping restrictions prevent those living in North America from ordering one but a girl can dream right?

London Color

4.23.2012

A good client of mine was nice enough to snap some pics for me while she was in London during the month of February. Needless to say, color was everywhere. After so many days of rain and gray skies I thought that this post would offer up a much needed color boost. Nothing like a bit of color to put a smile back on my face.

Wonderfully White

4.20.2012

White can sometimes evoke feelings of loneliness or sadness especially when used in very modern decors. However, I think that white can be warm and inviting especially when used in conjunction with a little bit of color. Here are some of my favorite examples of white decors. You'll notice that there is more and more color as we proceed through the pics. This will help you to determine just how much color you'd need to live in a white environment.
